In this Customizing activity, you define reference interest rates. You can also assign calculation bases to these reference interest rates. This means that you can regulate the interest earned on an account by means of a reference interest rate. You can choose the reference interest rate as the rate for calculating account interest, or you can define the reference interest rate with markups and markdowns. If the reference interest rate changes, the account interest also changes.

• Define a reference interest rate.

• If applicable, assign calculation bases.

You create interest rates for the reference interest rates in the transaction Edit Reference Interest Rates on the SAP Easy Access screen.
