The unit entered here in Customizing defines the unit of measure that is used for the loading unit.

As soon as you have entered units of measure defined here in the material master as alternative units of measure, the relevant material can be converted into the loading unit. Alternatively, it can be converted directly using the sales unit of measure in the document.

The tolerance limit as a percentage indicates by how much the loading capacity of the assigned vehicles for a shipment can be exceeded.
