In this Customizing activity you define the product codes for the EMCS process. You assign the product codes in the master data of excise duty to individual materials. Product codes control the EMCS processes.

In the Customizing activity Define Product Category Codes, you have already created suitable product category codes.

Note that the values you define in this Customizing activity must be included in the corresponding code list of the customs authority.
