In this IMG activity you define the contract handling document types (CHD type) you use in contract handling. The CHD type is a special classifying attribute in contract handling. From a business perspective you can divide your contracts into three classification groups:

• Service contracts with the CHD types such as installation loan, annuity, depreciation loan, subsidy, investment, delivery right, equity contributions, deposit, guaranty and sales commitment.

• Object contracts with CHD types such as rental contract, leasehold contract, management contract, expenses, fittings and equipment loan and rental

• Contract-style processing with CHD type such as receivables deferral and suspension and annual trade negotiations

The standard delivery contains table entries for frequently used CHD types. You can use these CHD types, modify them and you can also enter your own CHD types.

For each CHD type enter an alphanumeric key with up to four characters, a description, the contract view (debit-side/credit-side), the model type (model, master, slave) and the number range (internal/external).

For each contract handling organization unit (CH org. unit) define separate CHD types.
