SAP E-Book

In this activity, you define the number intervals for the number ranges for rebate agreements.

When rebate agreements are created, a unique number is assigned to identify the agreement. The number is taken from the number range you assign in this activity.

There are two types of number assignment:

  • Internal number assignment: The SAP system automatically assigns a sequence number from the defined number range.
  • External number assignment: You specify a number from the external number range.

Only internal number assignment is allowed in Trade Promotion Management. The SAP system automatically assigns a sequence number from the defined number range.

  • Choose Group. Select the rebate group for which you want to

create a number range interval, and assign the rebate group to the number range group.

  • Choose Intervals. Determine the limits of the number interval. The individual number intervals are not allowed to overlap. Each number should occur once only.

For more information on assigning number ranges in Trade Promotion Management, see the SAP Library under Customer Relationship Management → Enterprise → Enterprise Marketing → Trade Promotion Management → Master Data → Conditions and Rebate Agreements in Trade Promotions → Maintenance of Rebate Processing.
