SAP E-Book

In this activity, you define pull types. When you configure pull types, you can set up different SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity endpoints where messages are pulled from. You can also pull messages by using different protocols such as the XI protocol or the HTTP protocol.

If you define a pull type, you must assign a pull category which defines the technical handling of the pull type. You can assign the following pull categories:

  • Web Service Runtime
The message in this pull category is pulled through the web service runtime. You use the XI protocol to pull messages from SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity. If you use the web service runtime with the WSRM protocol, you can optionally specify a logical port that is to be used for pulling. If no logical port is set, the logical port marked as default is used instead.
  • HTTP API
The message in thispull category is pulled through a direct HTTPS connection to SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity. Ensure that you set up the relevant RFC destinations. You can assign the relevant RFC destinations for pulling at the pull type definition. In this case, the RFC destination is of the connection type G - HTTP Connections to External Server.
