In this IMG activity, you assign the entitlement-specific partner functions to SAP business partner functions. This is necessary for settling the entitlements.

When the entitlement is settled, the partner from the entitlement partner function is copied to the corresponding business partner function in the settlement document, for example the invoice.

You assign the partner functions specifically for an application, such as CENT -Deposit Entitlement, and a usage scenario, for example CBST -Deposit Credit Settlement.

You have created an entitlement 001 for the business partner Jones Automotive. In the entitlement document, Jones Automotive is the bill-to party (entitlement-specific partner function: BIPA - Bill-To Party). After this entitlement 001 has expired, an invoice is created, the system copies the business partner Jones Automotive to the partner function 000003 - Bill-To Party, that has been assigned in this IMG activity.
