In this IMG activity, you define the search sequence for entitlements. A search sequence contains a collection of search criteria along with the following:

  • First in first out (FIFO): Oldest entitlements are consumed first based on the end date or expiry date of the entitlement.
  • Last in first out (LIFO): Recent entitlements are consumed first based on the end date or expiry date flag of the entitlement. This ensures that every entitlement search is performed sequentially.

This setting specifies the sources of data and the order in which the system checks these sources, during an entitlement search.

You have:

  • Defined search criteria for entitlements in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management --> Entitlement Management --> Entitlement Determination --> Search Criteria --> Define Search Criteria.
  • Implemented search criteria for entitlements in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management --> Entitlement Management--> Entitlement Determination --> Search Criteria --> Implement Search.

The following search sequences are part of the standard delivery:

  • CORE_BANK: Deposit credit entitlements search for sales adjustments
  • CORE_RETURNS: Entitlements search for used parts returns
  • REF_DOCUMENT: Entitlements search based on reference documents
  • IC_CONS: Intercompany consumptions; sales and returns
  • IC_ATTR: Intercompany consumptions; expiration process
