In this activity you specify the appearance of the Visual Workbench and its available modules.
Following customizing steps are required:
Define work areas
In this step you define all work areas which should be available in the Visual Workbench. The description of the work area can be maintained language dependent.
Define modules
All modules executable in the Visual Workbench have to be defined in this step. A unique ID and a language dependent description are required. With the help of the F4 input help the implementing class for the module can be selected from the pool of available classes.
Assign modules to work areas
To launch a module in a specific work area, it has to be assigned to it first. Each module can be assigned to one work area only.
Note: Currently one work area can display only one module.
The following example shows the setup of the module for Master Data synchronisation and how to link it to its own unique transaction code.
