This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Project Workspace (CA-CPD-WS) component Commercial Project Management (CA-CPD). You can use this BAdI to write your own logic to implement authorization checks for commercial projects.

You have defined subactivities for authorization in Customizing by choosing Commercial Project Management > Master Data > Commercial Project > Define Subactivities for Authorization.

For more information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple uses), see the Enhancement Spot Element Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).

  • /CPD/PWSSE_MP_AUTHORIZATION
The default implementation is designed to work together with the standard authorization object /CPD/MP (Authorization Object for Project Workspace) delivered for Project Workspace. This implementation defines an authorization mechanism that is based on the values in the following fields of the authoriztion object:
  • Activity

Specifies the user actions that are possible. The possible actions are Create or Generate, Change, Display, and Delete.
  • Commercial Project Type

Indicates the commercial project types for which a user is authorized to perform activities. To view the list of commercial project types, see Customizing for Commercial Project Management > Master Data > Commercial Project > Make Settings for Commercial Projects.
  • Commercial Project ID

Specifies the commercial projects, based on commercial project IDs, that a user can access.
  • Organization

Indicates the organization IDs for which a user can access commercial projects. To know the organization IDs, see Customizing for Commercial Project Management > Master Data > Commercial Project > Make Settings for Organization.
  • Subactivity for Commercial Project Authorization

Indicates the functional areas of the commercial project on which a user can perform activities. To know the different subactivities for authorization, see Commercial Project Management > Master Data > Commercial Project > Define Subactivities for Authorization.
  • Confidential Indicator for Commercial Project

Indicates whether a user can access commercial projects that are confidential. The Confidentiality indicator is a field in the commercial project header.
