/CPD/VCPWS_AUTH - Set Up User Interface Groups for Project Workspace

In this Customizing activity, you categorize user interface areas from the perspective of role-based access. You create this categorization by defining which FPM (Floor Plan Manager) main pages and UIBBs (User Interface Building Blocks) are available for a particular authorization group (Aspect ID).

This Customizing activity is one of the inputs to setting up an authorization mechanism for Commercial Project Management (CA-CPD).

You have done the following:

• Created main pages using FMP with active UIBB configurations.

• Specified the FPM main pages in Customizing for Commercial Project Management by choosing Master Data > Commercial Project > Define Project Workspace Views.

By default, Project Workspace( CA-CPD-WS) provides the aspect ID 0ALL that makes all areas of the application available to a user.

If you have created role-based aspect IDs in this Customizing setting, then you must also assign specific aspect IDs to roles, in Customizing, by choosing Commercial Project Management > Master Data > Commercial Project > Map Roles and Authorization Groups.
