In this Customizing activity, you create user-defined keys called object links that integrate object types and the business objects from your enterprise systems (SAP or non-SAP).
You can do the following:
- Create object links for your user-defined object types and specify the corresponding business object type from the SAP or non-SAP system. Besides specifying the business object type, you must also enter the search structure, the result structure, and the implementation class that the system uses to communicate with another system and retrieve the business object's attributes.
- If you create an object link for a subobject, you must also enter the parent object link to establish the logical relationship between the business object types.
- A commercial project can integrate business objects from different systems. To facilitate this integration, specify the logical system for retrieving each business object type. For example, projects from Portf. and Proj. Mgmt or CRM opportunities can be integrated from different logical systems.
- Note:
- Each business object type must be retrieved only from one logical system.
You have:
- Created user-defined object types that you want to integrate with commercial projects, by choosing Commercial Project Management -> Master Data -> Commercial Project -> Make Settings for Objects
- Created separate implementation classes and structures for each business object type that you want to integrate with the commercial project in Commercial Project Management(CA-CPD)
- Defined and established connections to and from the specified logical systems
- Provided the HTTP connection to the CRM system (by defining the RFC destination (CPD_CRM) connection type H) for linking to CRM opportunities
Project Workspace (CA-CPD-WS) delivers the following object links for the defined object types:
