You use this Customizing activity to define the following status management settings for plan headers and plan versions:

• Define statuses that indicate the current status of plan headers and plan versions.

• Define status profiles that you assign to plan headers and plan versions in the Customizing activity Define Plan Scenarios.

• Assign statuses to status profiles and select at least one status each to indicate start and completion. Also, select a status in which planning for change requests and change request alternatives is allowed.

• For each status, specify the follow-on statuses. In the follow-on status, specify the user exits required to trigger the corrresponding status action. For example, for a status that changes from In Process to Pending Approval, you can trigger a workflow by specifying the corresponding user exit.

To display planning workbooks for change requests and change request alternatives, you have selected relevant workbooks in Customizing for SAP Commercial Project Management, under Project Cost and Revenue Planning > Define Plan Types > Link Plan Type for Planning.
