SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you specify and activate the key performance indicators (KPIs) that are critical for your business.

  • Defining KPIs
Using filter-based Business Add-In (BAdI) implementations and the analytic framework for SAP Commercial Project Management(CA-CPD), the system derives KPI values from real-time data in business objects that are assigned to master projects. To enable accurate decision making, the system displays both actual and planned figures.
  • Defining Calculated KPIs
In the Define Calculations view, you can define formulas to derive calculated KPIs. For more information, see Calculated KPI.

KPI figures are displayed in the Cross-Project View and the Overview screens.

Note:

Using the personalization option in project workspace, users can decide to display up to 7 KPIs that are most relevant to their daily tasks.

KPIs

To activate a particular KPI, you must also have an active BAdI implementation to fetch KPI values, using the KPI ID as the filter. You can create your own implementation in Customizing by choosing SAP Commercial Project Management-> Master Data-> Business Add-Ins-> BAdI: Calculation of KPIs.

Calculated KPIs

You have defined the required source KPIs. For more information, see Source KPIs.

The following KPIs along with corresponding default business add-in (BAdI) implementations are part of the standard delivery:

  • Cost
  • Change Requests
  • Debt
  • Issues
  • Progress (also referred to as percentage of completion or POC)
  • Revenues
  • WIP,,
