This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Interactive Reporting (CRM-ANA-OR) component. You can use this BAdI for the following:

  • To suppress the observation of business filters (employee responsible, sales organization of the employee responsible, marketing organization, access control rules) during interactive reporting in both the preview and the execution of reports.
  • To restrict a potentially large number of hits for the report in question and therefore avoid long runtimes or a timeout.

This BAdI contains the following methods:

  • IGNORE_BUSINESS_FILTERS - Determine When Business Filters Are to Be Ignored
You can use this BAdI method to define the situations in which business filters are to be ignored in the preview and during the execution of reports.
  • GET_MAXHITS - Determine Upper Limit for Number of Data Records to Be Read
You can use this BAdI method to define the upper limit for the number of hits in situations in which business filters are ignored according to the method IGNORE_BUSINESS_FILTERS.

Caution: The function Preview Without Business Filter is not influenced by this BAdI.

In your company, you want business filters to be ignored in the preview and during the execution of reports in the report areas ACTIVITIES, ACTIVITIES_VDM and LEADS for the users SCHMITTS and GERBERK . You also want to restrict the number of hits in these situations, because you only want to view a sample of the report results.

In this situation, create an implementation of this BAdI and implement the methods IGNORE_BUSINESS_FILTERS and GET_MAXHITS according to the requirements specified.
