In this Customizing activity, you define parameters that represent the database connection for interactive reporting based on SAP HANA VDM.

Enter the following parameters:

  • DB_CONNECTION
  • If a side-by-side SAP HANA database is involved, use the value for the database connection for SAP HANA VDM, which was entered in the transaction DBCO.

  • For SAP HANA as primary database leave the field empty.

  • SCHEMA_NAME
Use the default entry _SYS_BICas schema name.
  • CONTENT_PACKAGE
Enter the content path from the SAP Hana Studio, which contains the view for interactive reporting.
Use the default entry sap.hba.crm.
  • EXT_PACKAGE_SIZE
Enter a positive integer. This integer defines the maximum number of data records that can be returned in a package from a database SELECT statement.
We recommend entering as large an integer as possible to avoid generating a large number of database accesses. If however, the package is too large, this may exceed the memory available.
