In this Customizing activity, you define the renewal periods for evergreen deals. When a deal reaches its expiry date, the renewal period determines for how long the deal is automatically renewed.

Note that renewal periods have an indicator for month-end. If you set this indicator, the renewal will always go to the last day of the month, instead of just adding the indicated period.

Say an evergreen deal has the following settings:

• Effective dates: 01-January-2018 to 31-Decemer-2018

• Cancellation period: 10 days

• Renewal period: 1 month

On 21-December-2018, the deal will automatically be renewed, and the new expiry date for the deal will be 21-January-2019.
