In this Customizing activity, you define the groups of users (distribution lists) that are notified when certain events take place in deals.

You can configure the following settings in this activity:

  • Different distribution lists for different events (for example, a distribution list for amended deals and a distribution list for voided deals)
  • The members of the distribution lists
  • The text that is to be used for the notification e-mail

In transaction SO10, you have created e-mail templates to be used for the notification e-mail messages.

  • This activity only describes the settings related to the Deal Capture application. The complete mail server configuration should be performed by the Basis team using resources available on SAP NetWeaver layer.
  • You can use transaction SOST to test and verify the e-mails that are triggered by events in Deal Capture without first having to fully configure the mail server on SAP NetWeaver.

Define distribution lists as follows:

  1. Select the Distribution Listnode.
  2. Choose New Entries.
  3. Enter the type of distribution list that you want to create (for example, AMEND).
  4. Enter a description for the distribution list.

Add recipients to the distribution lists as follows:

  1. Select the Distribution Listnode.
  2. Select the row for the relevant distribution list.
  3. Select the List Recipientsnode.
  4. Choose New Entries.
  5. Enter one or more e-mail addresses for the distribution list.

Assign distribution lists to deal events as follows:

  1. Select the Deal Eventsnode.
  2. Choose New Entries.
  3. Specify an event.
  4. Specify a distribution list for the event.
  5. Specify a text object for the event.
The text object is the e-mail that is sent when the event occurs.
  1. Enter a subject line for the notification e-mail (for example, Deal Void Notification).

Say you want to notify all traders when deals are amended. You create a distribution list and name it AMEND. You add the e-mail addresses of all the traders to the distribution list and define the deal event as follows:
