/DSD/GS_DMI_VAR - Define Specific Extraction Variant Settings for Usage of BI Data Mart IF

In this IMG activity, you specify the settings for extraction variants so that you can use the BI data mart interface for Direct Store Delivery.

You assign an InfoProvider from the BI system to an extraction variant. You can then make the following settings for this combination:

• Define catalog of returned characteristics

• Define catalog of returned key figures

• Define selections for access to InfoProvider data

• Define time selections for access to InfoProvider data

Note

The standard delivery provides the Sales History (/DSD/GS_QU) as an example extraction variant. It uses the extraction method BI Data Interface to access data from the Sales Overview InfoCube (0SD_C03).

Note that you enter the required selection values in an internal data format.

You define the time selections as relative time intervals or relative single values. During tour processing, the system refers to the visit date to convert these definitions into absolute time intervals or time values, which can be evaluated in the BI system.

You can edit or enhance the settings for data extraction by implementing the PREPARE_DMI_EXTRACTION method in the BAdI /DSD/BADI_GS_EXT_VARIANT.
