In this Customizing table you maintain the general settings for writing the application log.

In the field 'DSD - RA: Flag, Application log is being written' you can determine whether an application log shall always be written or not.

The following settings apply only to uploading.

If there is an error while uploading is performed, a rollback will reset all tables to their original status. In this case an application log will not be written. Since this can have negative consequences, it is attempted to write an application log in a new session. If there is no free work process, you can set the system response by means of the following settings.

In the field 'DSD - RA: Upload; Number of queues for NEW TASK' you can set the number of queues to run through while you try to get a free work process

In the field 'DSD - RA: Upload; Queue time (in seconds) for NEW TASK' you can set the waiting time (in seconds) for each queue.

The field 'DSD - RA: Upload; Response to Resource Problems' controls the response of the application log when a resource problem occurs. It is checked against the fixed values of the domain /DSD/HH_TASK_HANDLE.

Fixed values:

  • 1 = Processing terminated
This value causes the termination of the entire processing of the handheld data. This setting should not be used unless you consider the application log to be very important.
  • 2 = Do not write application log
With this setting processing the handheld data is continued, although an application log is not generated due to temporary resource problems.
