/EACA/GL_ACCT_PB - Lock G/L Accounts against Posting

In this IMG activity, you can lock General Ledger accounts against postings, or unlock accounts that have been locked.

The posting lock always applies within one accounting system. This means in theory that a General Ledger account can be locked in one accounting system, but can still be posted to in another.

The posting lock is time-dependent with respect to the posting date.

Provided that no settings are made for an account, the account can be posted to.

1. Enter the Chart of Accounts and the Accounting System for which you want the G/L account to be locked/for which you want to remove the lock. Choose New Entries.
2. Enter the required G/L Account.
3. In the Posting Date field, enter the date from which you want the posting lock to apply, and set the Posting Lock flag.
4. If you want to remove the posting lock for this G/L account, enter the data from which this should take affect and deselect the Posting Lock flag.
5. Save your settings.
