SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you define exceptions for the conversion of countries of origin from the SAP internal code to the standard code used in Intrastat.

As default, the system converts the SAP internal code of countries of origin to the respective ISO code. If exceptions to this standard logic are required, you must define these exceptions in this Customizing activity.

An exception is required for the conversion of country of origin: In Germany, for example, the country of origin Monaco (MC) must be converted to France (FR).

This Customizing activity is relevant for all member states of the European Union.

You have carried out the Define Countries of Originand Assign Countries of Origin to Countries of DeclarationCustomizing activities.

Define exceptions for the conversion of countries of origin.

To convert Monaco (MC) to France (FR) for Germany in Intrastat, you define the following entry:

  • Country of Declaration: DE (Germany)
  • Country of Origin: MC (Monaco)
  • Region of Origin: You do not have to enter a region of origin because Monaco is not divided into regions.
  • Intrastat Country of Origin: FR (France)
