/FRE/CV_001 - Define Message Types

This transaction is used to configure the different interfaces. Each interface is identified by a message type.

The following configuration settings are maintained for the Operation mode:

• The Outbound Active field defines the technical communication mode between SAP F&R and the connected systems.

• If the communication is established via RFC, the outbound interface for orders needs an entry in the RFC Destinationfield. You must enter the RFC identification of the receiving system here.

• The Max.No.Obj. field defines the number of records that are processed together.

• The Proc.Mode field defines the processing of the interfaces:

• If you choose 'Using of interface tables', then all data records exchanged between external systems and SAP F&R are stored in the interface tables. This is necessary for the batch jobs that process this data.

• If you choose 'Direct processing', the incoming data is processed directly (without buffering in the interface tables).
