This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Global Batch Traceability (CA-GBT) component. You can use this BAdI to retrieve detailed information about objects in SAP Global Batch Traceability (SAP GBT) from connected systems and to import this information into the SAP GBT system.

The following are examples of such objects:

  • Purchase order
  • Production order
  • Material document
  • Sales order
  • Delivery

Report /GBT/R_EVENT_COLLECTOR triggers this BAdI. Schedule the report once or several times a day to synchronize SAP GBT with the connected systems.

This BAdI is called for every object type contained in the imported where-used entries.

For more information about the standard settings (filter, single or multiple uses), see the Enh. Spot Element Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).

The default implementations import the standard SAP GBT objects into the SAP GBT system. Standard objects can be, for example, delivery items or purchase order items. The standard implementation also serves as a template for custom implementations to import custom SAP GBT objects. This BAdI is enabled for multiple use. This means that multiple implementations can co-exist. For example, the standard implementations for the standard object types can exist alongside a custom implementation for a custom object type.

If you deactivate a default implementation, you must activate your own implementation.

For information about the implementation of BAdIs in the context of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.
