SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you can define the navigation to source systems using a Launchpad (ABAP) service. This enables the user of SAP Global Batch Traceability (SAP GBT) to directly navigate to the object details in the source system.

You have made the necessary Customizing settings, for example, for the business objects or the navigation target.

To add another navigation target for an object type, you have to change the SAP version of the SAP GBT launchpad delivered as standard. All applications that are already linked are displayed in the left navigation tree.

To add your navigation target, choose New Application and proceed as follows:

  1. Under Link Details, enter the link text for your navigation target.
  2. Under Application Type, enter the type of application to which you want to navigate.
  3. Under System, choose SAP_CHANGED_AT_RUNTIME as the system alias.

Depending on the type of source system to which you want to navigate, you have to enter the settings for this application. For an example on how to add the navigation to a transaction within another SAP system, see the next section.

Calling an SAP system transaction:

  1. In the section Link Details, enter the link text for your navigation target, for example, Display Purchase Order in SAP ERP.
  2. In the section Application Type, choose Transaction.
The system displays the additional sections Application Parameter and System.
  3. In the section Application Parameter, enter the transaction code to which you want to navigate, for example, ME23.
  4. In the section System, choose SAP_CHANGED_AT_RUNTIME as the system alias.
  5. Choose Show Advanced (Optional) Parameters and maintain the following optional parameters:
In the section Application-Related Parameters, enter the following:
  • Application Alias: Enter the application alias you defined in Customizing for SAP GBT under Cross-Application Components -> Processes and Tools for Enterprise Applications -> Settings for BO Framework and Navigation -> Navigation, Parameter Mapping, and Services -> Assign the Navigation Target in column Launchpad Application Alias.

  • Target App. Parameters: Choose Parameter Mapping. On the parameter screen, enter values for the following fields:

- Program: Name of the program, for example, SAPMM06E
- Dynpro number: For example, 105
- OK-Code: For example, AB
- Select Forward only the following Parameters.
- Proc. Mode: Select Display Errors
- Update Mode: Select Asynchronous
- Select Not completed by COMMIT.
- In the table, choose Insert Row and enter a source parameter, for example, PURONR, and a target parameter, for example, RM06E-BSTNR, and continue.
  • GUI Type: Select SAP GUI for HTML.

  1. In the section Entries Following Start of Application: for Entries once started, select Skip Initial Screen if Possible.
  2. Save your new application.
