/IAM/BADI_VAL_MREFOB - BAdI: Validate Main Reference Object

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Management of Change (CA-IAM-MOC) component. You can use this BAdI to enable validations when choosing a main reference object with creating or editing change requests.

The default implementations are designed to work together with the Customizing activity Define Change Request Types. This can be found under Cross-Application Componentso Management of Change. It defines change request types.

For more information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple uses), see the Enhancement Spot Element Definitionstab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).

We deliver 4 different implementations of the BAdI for the following main reference object types: Functional Location,Maintenance Notification, Maintenance Order,Equipment. The validation checks the system status of the object and if it is a specific status returns error/warning message. The implementations that we deliver are inactive by default and for the BAdI functionality to be used, the implementations must be activated, or new implementations must be created and activated.

The BAdI allows for added validations based on the type of the main reference object.
