In this Customizing activity, you define object categories. Each object category represents a concrete implementation for accessing and validating object type data.

The object category should be taken as a filter value for a Business Add-In (BAdI) implementation for the object type-specific BAdI definition.

You must have defined an object type for which you want to define your object category.

You must create a new BAdI definition for the new object category under enhancement spot /IAM/ACCESS_ON_CATEGORY and create its implementation.

We deliver various object categories for different object types and deployment scenarios.

Define an object category in your own namespace and then create a corresponding BAdI implementation.
