In this Customizing activity you can evaluate the existing Customizing settings that affect the data supply via CSV file. This enables you to compare whether your supplied CSV files comply with the parser settings exactly.
Note If the supply has the incorrect number of columns, the error message parameters may be filled incorrectly, or the program may even terminate.
Specify the file access ID for which you want to run the evaluation and choose the pushbutton Execute (F8).
The displayed table "Technical Data" provides you with information on the technical properties of the table fields, for example, the data type or length. The checkbox "Technical Field" describes a field that is not typically contained in the data supply, but is filled during further processing of the data or is not required. You use the checkbox RBD: No Technical Fields Supplied in the Customizing activity Define File Specifications to determine whether technical fields are to be supplied. The conversion function changes a supplied format (for example, the valuation key date in the format MM/DD/YYYY) to the data format used within SAP (YYYYMMDD).
The lower table provides you with information on the technical field names as well as the length of each field by the number of letter "A", or figure 9 for numeric fields. You can use the table to compare the CSV files of your data supply with the field lengths and number of columns expected by the parser.
