The Customizing activity Define Periods for Valuation Areas only refers to valuation methods with the Fair Value horizon - only to value adjustments in accordance with IAS/IFRS.
In this table, you define both the analysis time frame (number of periods to be analyzed) and the actual periods (such as month, quarter or year). The data required for the calculation of the fair value (net present value) is generated and entered based on this analysis time frame.
In the Customizing activity Define Valuation Methods, you need to have entered the evaluation method with the 'fair value' analysis horizon.
You want to define an analysis time frame of 12 months for the evaluation method according to IAS/IFRS for the RBD area 0001. This means that the fair value (net present value) will be calculated every month.
