In this Customizing activity you define the processing sequence for the value adjustment balances (for example, processing of Previous Year before Current Fiscal Year).

The rank controls the processing sequence for RBD. As soon as a condition is applicable, the determined target flow type is used for the posting.

Note:
The RBD flow types for Direct Write-Off are currently the only flow types that require an adjustment flow to be defined and can fulfill a value adjustment of zero "0" as a condition.

You need to have made the settings in the following Customizing activities:

The value adjustment requirement reported to RBD by the source system is less than the current value adjustment balance. (In this case, the RBD flow type '0200' is selected). The system executes RBD processing in the following sequence:

  1. Firstly, it resets value adjustments that were appropriated in the current fiscal year (condition = value adjustment in current year is greater than zero). The RBD target flow type '0200' is used (Reset Appropriation IVA Capital Current Year). RBD ensures that the maximum reset amount is the appropriation amount from the current fiscal year.
  2. In a second step, the system resets the allocations for previous years that were posted in the current fiscal year (condition = value adjustment allocation previous years is greater than 0). To do so, the RBD flow type '0260' is used (Reset Allocation IVA Capital Previous Year). RBD ensures that the maximum reset amount is the allocation amount from the current fiscal year.
  3. In the third step, the system clears value adjustments that were posted in previous years (condition = value adjustment previous years is greater than 0). To do so, the RBD flow type '0120' is used (Clearing Capital Previous Year).
