In this IMG activity, you assign a reserve for bad debt (value adjustment) record for a combination of the product type in the source system and the risk indicator (similar to the dunning level in SAP Loans Management). By setting the update indicator, you can also specify whether reducing the risk indicator should result in the automatic clearing of the reserve for bad debt or whether this has to be performed by the administrator manually.
The RBD area and RBD product types must be defined.
For the combination of product type 34A (consumer loans) and the dunning levels 1, 2 and 3 you define a reserve for bad debt (value adjustment) record of 1%, 10% and 20% respectively. A value of 10%, 20%, and 30% is defined for the product GIRO MAX (current account) and the risk indicator 1, 2, and 3.
