In this Customizing activity you call the different source systems connected to the RBD component. To do so, you assign the respective function module for fixed work steps (see Function Selection for Connected Systems) in the individual systems (listed below) by specifying the evaluation methods. When you call a source or target system from another system (Remote Function Call), you can also call this function module generally.

You need to have made the settings in the following Customizing activities:

• Define RBD Area

• Define Valuation Methods

• Define Systems to be Connected

• Assign Component ID of Source System to RBD Area

• You must set up any required RFC connections

All functions must be Customized.

• If you connect SAP Collateral Management for Banking, Suite Edition (SAP-CMS), the function modules are connected by setting the entries for 'Function Selection for Connected Systems' to '04' and '05'. This replaces the internal collateral management system by SAP Loans Management for Banking, Suite Edition(SAP-CML). The Customizing activity Define Collateral Types for Encumbrances is then superfluous.

• This Customizing activity supports wildcard characters. Wildcard is the name given to a placeholder in the form of an asterisk and allows you to make generalized settings for specific table columns. This minimizes the number of entries that need to be made and provides a better overview. In this table, you can use wildcards for the 'RBD Area' field only. Note that the "specific entries" are processed first, followed by the general entries.

Here, the SAP Loans Management for Banking, Suite Edition (SAP-CML) source system reads the contract data from a defined function module. The RBD component and SAP Loans Management for Banking, Suite Edition(SAP-CML) are on the same platform, so you do not need to define the target system for a RFC call.

The account data is read from the function module "/IBS/RB_AM_KTO_GET" for the SAP Deposits Management for Banking (SAP-AM) source system. Even though the RBD component and SAP Deposits Management for Banking (SAP-AM) are running on different platforms, it is not necessary to define a target system here because the function modules are located in RBD.
