/IBX/FILE_CAT - Define File Access ID

In this activity, you define the file access ID that is used to access files.

The file service class name is used to determine which code is to be used for accessing the file.

Based on the logical file, the physical path for the file can be determined.

The table name determines to which intermediate structure the file is transferred. This structure must exist actively in the Dictionary because the fields and their types are determined on this basis.

The work structure in the process is filled from the aforementioned intermediate structure and then made available to the process steps.

The access type determines how the file is to be accessed.

You have maintained the logical file and associated parameters for the physical path in transaction FILE.
