/IBX/RO_CAT - Define Processes with Application Log Subobject

In this activity, you define the processes and assign these to a processing area and a subobject for the application log.

You also define:

• The class name of the process object (this class is responsible for the process control)

• The work structure in the process (this structure holds all process-relevant data for each business object and is transported for all process steps)

• Application type (see Define Application Types for Processes; this only needs to be maintained if the process is to be executed in parallel)

First maintain the following activities:

• Define Processing Area with Application Log Object

• Define Objects and Subobjects for Application Log

• Define Application Types for Processes

Class /IBX/CL_RO is available as the standard implementation for the process object. A customer-specific, alternative implementation has to be implemented by interface /IBX/IF_RO.

The work structures need to contain the leading process data always in flat format (for example, directly as an include), so that the worklist can be created generically. In addition, they always need to include structure /IBX/S_TECHNICAL_PROC_DATA.
