This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the SAP Cross-Applications(SAP_CA) component. You can use this BAdI to implement a Web Dynpro configuration which defines the fields and tabs you want to have visible when you define elements for your SAP Document Builder application.
SAP Document Builder is delivered with standard fields and tabs. If certain fields and tabs are not relevant for your organization, you can create a Web Dynpro configuration in which you define which fields and tabs you need and do not need. When you implement this BAdI, a parameter is added to the Document Builder Element Management URL and your Web Dynpro configuration is automatically implemented.
Before you implement this BAdI, you must create a Web Dynpro configuration for element maintenance. To create the Web Dynpro configuration, use Object Navigator (transaction SE80). Select Web Dynpro Comp./Intf. from the dropdown list and enter Web Dynpro component name /IPRO/WD_COCKPIT. Then choose Web Dynpro Applications -> /ipro/wd_element.
