In this step you define modifiers or variants to distinguish between contents. By implementing content modifiers you enable the system to support baseline content with an option to override defaults. In other words, the system can contain baseline content shared by all in addition to features unique to each modifier.

Each modifier may have its own unique content to replace the baseline. This applies to:

  • Elements
  • Guidance texts for elements (for example, FAR and DFARS, headquarter clauses)
  • Prescriptions for elements
  • Variables
  • Reference information for a variable - each location could have its own help information.
  • Document selections

  1. Choose New entries.
  2. Enter an identifier and a description.
  3. Save your entries.

A government agency shares a baseline content a the US federal level but may require content modifiers for the various locations because of their own unique processes to procure commodities.
