In this step, you check the standard XSL-FO attributes and their descriptions. XSL-FO stands for eXtensible Stylesheet Language - Formatting Objects, an XML markup language that enables you to completely describe a styled document. XSL-FO is suitable for content-driven documents such as contracts but not for layout-intensive and design-intensive publications.

To define the font and paragraph formatting, as well as the page layout and background properties you wish to apply to a document, you must perform the activity Define Styles.

Consider the following XSL-FO definitions:

  • v_header_1_font_family (refers to the font family of Header 1)
  • v_header_1_font_size (refers to the font size of Header 1)
  • v_header_1_font_weight (refers to the font weight of Header 1)

The style parameter values would be, respectively:

  • Arial
  • 18pt
  • Bold
