In this Customizing activity, you can define who is informed by a generic workflow if an error occurs during the creation of a maintenance distribution package, meaning that the package cannot be created. You make settings for the destination (logical system) for maintenance distribution in your system. The assigned users who are to be informed are also using your system and not the target system.

If you do not enter a system here, and an error occurs during a maintenance distribution, the initiator of the process, such as the user who posted the goods issue is informed by the generic workflow. However, if you define a system and do not assign a user, no one is informed.

Under Define Workflow- Notification for Incorrect Distribution, you can make the following settings:

• Log. System

Name of the logical system that is the destination for maintenance distribution In the central system, you can define the names of all servers used, whilst you only need to define the central system on the server used.

• Inf.PrzD

If you select this checkbox field, the initiator of the process that has triggered incorrect maintenance processing, such as the user who posted the goods issue, is informed about the termination of maintenance package creation.

Under Assign User for Workflow Notification, you can define a system in which the user is to receive a workflow notification if an error occurs when a maintenance distribution package is created. It is important that the assigned users are using your system and not the system in which you defined the previous step. By making this setting, you can define various user groups in the central system, who work with specific systems during maintenance distribution, and therefore only need to be informed if an error occurs during distribution for a system for which they are responsible.
