In this IMG activity, you can define classifications for your armed forces in accordance with NATO conventions:
- NATO Command Forces are forces that member states have placed under the operational command or operational control of a NATO Commander.
- NATO Assigned Forces are forces that member states want to put under the operational command or operational control of a NATO Commander during a NATO alert or as a result of a special NATO agreement.
- NATO Earmarked Forces are forces that member states have earmarked to place under the operational command and operational control of a NATO Commander at a later date.
- Other Forces for NATO are forces that are neither NATO Assigned Forces nor NATO Earmarked Forces, but who cooperate with NATO forces or who can be placed under the operational command or operational control of a NATO Commander under certain circumstances.
The standard system already contains various pre-defined armed forces classifications that you can use.
- Check that these standard armed forces classifications meet your requirements.
- If necessary, create new armed forces classifications:
-
If you no longer want an armed forces classification to be used in standard transactions you can hide it by setting the Hide flag.
Hiding an armed forces classification is useful if you do not want a classification to be used anymore, but you cannot delete it because it is still used in infotype 1951. Hidden armed forces classifications cannot be processed in standard transactions.
