The materials requisition function incorporates an organizational unit-related material proposal to make it easier to request frequently used materials. This material proposal is displayed on the right-hand side of the overview screen in the requisition function.

A material proposal is dependent on the nursing organizational unit. In this IMG activity, you can manually create a material proposal for an organizational unit. You perform the following activities:

• Add or delete materials to/from the catalog assigned to the organizational unit.

• Change the default quantity and the unit of measure

• Use cut and paste to change the order of items

• Sort the material text in ascending alphabetical order

You can only add materials from the catalogs of the organizational unit to the material proposals. When you delete materials from the catalogs, they are deleted from the material proposals too.

You can have material proposals automatically created from old material requisitions using the RNUMKAT3 program. Alternatively, you can evaluate material catalogs.
