In the IMG activity, you can enter the service from the service master that the system is to use as the default material service for material billing.

You need a default material service if you want to bill for a material consumption at case level and the material is not assigned to a single material service.

If you want to bill for a consumed material using a default material service, you need to enter the relevant value for the material in the Material Billing Mode field in the Pharmacy view in the material master.

You need to activate the service rule R24 - Create and Compare Material Services - in your system. The service rule creates "material services" for case-related material consumptions. These are performed services for a case by means of which a material consumption can be billed for at case level.

For the current in-house service catalog, enter the service from the service master that is to be the default material service.
