ISH_MM_SET_DEF - Define Material Sets

A material set is a group of materials that are requested together. A material set is composed of:
- Identification key (Set field)
- Descriptive text (Set Description field)
- Material set items
- A material set item is composed of:
- Material (Material field)
- Plant (Plant field)
- Quantity (Order Quantity field)
- Unit of measure (Oun field)
To be able to request a material set with the material requisition transaction, you need to have assigned it to a nursing organizational unit in the IMG activity Assign Material Sets to Organizational Units.
You can then use the defined material sets in the material requisition function. Here they are selected and broken down into the defined individual materials. Consequently, the individual materials and not the actual material set are requested.
A material set can be used to define standard weekly orders for a care unit, so as to avoid having to enter the individual materials every time.
Note that when you request a material set for a nursing organizational unit, only those materials that are in the catalogs assigned to the organizational unit are displayed.
