In this IMG activity, you make settings for risk factors and drug allergies.

Risk information comprises risk factors and drug allergies. Risk factors and drug allergies are values that are assigned directly to the patient and are available for all treatments. At the start of a treatment, the IS-H System imports these values from the Ministry of Health's NPMI database. Changes to these values which become apparent during the treatment are reported to the NPMI database on completion of the treatment.

Note

NPMI relevant data and functions are not available for the country version Canada.

Possible risk factors for a patient include:

  • Diabetes mellitus
  • Recovered myocardial infarction
  • Carrier of pacemaker

Drug allergies could include:

  • Barbiturates
  • Iodine
  • Foreign protein

  • In the activity Routes of Dug Administration you define drug administration routes with which an allergy occurs. Specify a key in the Admin. field and a text in the DrugAdmin.Route field.
  • In the activity Organs Affected, you define organs that are affected by a drug allergy. Specify a key in the Organ field and a corresponding text in the Organ Text field.
  • In the activity Probability of Drug Allergy, you specify values for the probability of the diagnosis of a drug allergy. Specify a key in the P field and a text in the Probability field.
  • In the activity Reaction types, you specify values for the degree of the reaction to a drug that causes an allergy. Assign a key in the R field and a text in the Reaction type field.
  • In the activity IS-H: Risk Information Catalog, you enter risk factors and drug allergies. Specify the maintenance language in the La field. Define a key for the risk factor or the allergy in the RsfNo field and maintain the corresponding short text and description in the Short Text and Description fields.

In the Category field, you can specify whether the entry is a risk factor or drug allergy. In the Type field, maintain the type of risk factor. You can display the possible values using the value help.

The following values are used in the NPMI specification:

  • Organs Affected:
  • AN: anaphylaxis

  • CN: CNS

  • CV: CS

  • GI: GIT

  • HA: hematological

  • LI: liver

  • LU: lungs

  • OO: others

  • RE: renal

  • SK: skin

  • Routes of Administration:
  • 1: topical

  • 2: parentoral

  • 3: oral

  • 4: others

  • 5: unknown

  • Reactions to Drugs
  • 1: major

  • 2: minor

  • 3: unknown

  • Probability:
  • 1: definite

  • 2: unconfirmed
