To create provisional appointments with the visit scheduling function in Outpatient Clinic Management, the system requires an internal number range for the reservation number. This number is merely used internally by the system.

The numbers of the provisional appointments are unique within a client. Different number range intervals for institutions are not supported.

The ISH_NAPP number range object is intended for assigning provisional appointments. Enter ISH_NAPP in the Object Namefield. You maintain the number range object by choosing Number Range Objects.

  1. Make sure that the Inst field remains empty, since different number range intervals are not supported for different institutions.
  2. Enter N for normal operation in the transaction mode field M. If you would like to define a separate number range for batch input, enter S here for stand-alone operation.
  3. You maintain the number range interval by choosing Intervals. In each case, the system checks whether the number range intervals overlap. The numbers for external and internal number range intervals may not overlap.
  4. You can specify both internal and external number ranges for each object. For provisional appointments, it is essential to maintain an internal number range. An external number range is not taken into account for provisional appointments.

For provisional appointments, it is essential that an internal number range be maintained. The system does not take an external number range into account when assigning provisional appointments. If an internal number range is not maintained, an abnormal termination occurs for visit scheduling in Outpatient Clinic Management.
