Inpatient scheduling types are planning units for admission planning. Scheduling types and day programs are used to define admission quotas which care units offer to the departments occupying their beds for the purpose of patient preregistration.

All of the care units for which you want to define the inpatient scheduling types have been entered and released in the organizational structure.

Examples of inpatient admission types:

  • Short-term, long-term patients
  • Cases requiring low and high levels of nursing care
