In this Customizing activity, you can define referral types for classifying referrals and transfers. The referral types are used in inpatient and outpatient admissions.

You can also define postdischarge treatment types here, which you can specify in the discharge.

Use:

  • Movement category 1 for referral types
  • Movement category 4 for referral types for outpatient visits
  • Movement category 2 for postdischarge treatment types

Postdischarge treatment types are currently only relevant for the country version Spain.

You should enter the "referring instance" in this field for medical statistics for the BfS (Office of Statistics).

The referral type text is used for the Admission Source for Emergency Admission field for data transfer according to §301.

  • Inst

  • C

  • Referral Type

  • Ref./PostDTreat.Type

  • UC
Contains a key value that is unique in this client.
You can use this key in a subsequent assignment in the conversion table for internal/external codes if you communicate with external institutions and need to use their code. You can continue to work with the values you are familiar with in the SAP system (see field help).
  • CP
Contains the indicator for the care path. Input help is available for this field.
  • FP
Indicates whether you have to enter a family physician when creating an outpatient visit. The system ignores this indicator when processing inpatient cases.

Entries that are marked as inactive are no longer displayed in the corresponding search help. For more information, see the F1 help for the field.
