The change reasons are entered when unprotecting fields in transaction NV2000 and are stored in the corresponding log data.

You define change reasons using a 3-digit code and a text field. The change reasons do not currently control processing.

Examples of change reasons include:

  • Typo / error in data entry
  • Name change due to marriage
