In this IMG activity, you define which case statuses of Basic Medical Documentation are allowed or should be set by the system depending on the existing department statuses.

You have defined department statuses in the IMG activity Define Status Profiles and assigned them to departments in the IMG activity Assign Department Status to a Department.

For each institution and status profile, define

  • Which values a case status can have,
  • For which values, the system should automatically set a case status.

A check and, where appropriate, automatic switching takes place when you change the case status or when you either set the last open department status to "complete" or reset a department status to "open", if all the department statuses were set to "complete" beforehand.

Enter the following data:

  • Institution for which this rule applies.
  • Status profile for which this rule applies.
If you do not enter an asterisk ('*') here or do not specify a status profile, the rule applies for all status profiles.

Note that the status for the automatic resetting of the case status (Highest Status Number for the Automatic Setting of the Case Status) must be smaller than the other two values. If you do not fill one of the two fields, the system does not execute the relevant check or change.

Inst. Status Profile Highest Stat.No.for Manual Setting Lowest Stat.No.for Auto. Setting Highest Stat.No.for Auto. Setting
1 ISH00000 30 20 10

This entry stipulates that you are not allowed to set a case status with the status number 30 or higher until all department statuses have been set to "complete". Whenever you set the last open department status to "complete", the system automatically sets the case status with the status number 20, provided that a case status with status number 20 or higher does not exist. If all department statuses are already set to "complete" and you then reset one of them to "open", the system checks the case status for the specified status number 10. If the current case status has a higher status number, the system automatically resets the case status. If the case status has the status number 10, the system does not change the case status.
