In this activity, you can specify whether or not the system is to process treatment certificates in background processing.

You can specify that the following activities are to be processed automatically:

  • Case indicator:
If you select this indicator, the system creates a treatment certificate automatically when you create a new case. You can specify default values for this purpose in the Customizing activity Treatment Certificates - Default Values for Automatic Processing.

If you change data while creating the case and have not yet processed the treatment certificate manually, the system adjusts the default entries. If the changes mean a treatment certificate should not be created, the system issues a message.

If you cancel a case with a treatment certificate, the system automatically cancels the treatment certificate as well.
  • Case Type Change indicator:
If you change the case type from outpatient to inpatient, the system automatically cancels the treatment certificate in background processing.
This does not happen if you have selected the system parameter BEH_STAT, which means that treatment certificates are allowed for inpatient cases. In this case, the system only displays a warning for a change of case type if the values for the certificate do not match the default values specified in the Customizing activity Treatment Certificates - Default Values for Automatic Processing.
If you change the case type from inpatient to outpatient, the system creates a treatment certificate in background processing according to the settings you made in the Customizing activity Treatment Certificates - Default Values for Automatic Processing, provided a treatment certificate does not yet exist.
  • Movement Assignment indicator:
When you create a new outpatient visit, the system automatically assigns the movement to the treatment certificate for the case if there is only one certificate for the case.

The system also assigns the services for the movement to the certificate in the movement assignment.
When you edit the service-certificate assignment on the Services screen in the Clinical Process Builder, the system deactivates the automatic assignment of these services.
  • One Certificate per Movement indicator:
The system only allows one treatment certificate to be assigned to each movement.

You have set up the treatment certificates in the system.

None of the indicators is selected.
