In this Customizing activity, you define default values for automatic treatment certificate creation. You can specify the certificate category and type of the certificate to be created, according to the following criteria:

  • Case Type
  • Case Ctgry
  • Movement category
  • Movement type
  • Treatment organizational assignment
  • Departmental organizational assignment

You can select the Not Relevant indicator for combinations for which the system is not to create treatment certificates in background processing.

You must have selected the indicator for automatic processing in the background in the Customizing activity Treatment Certificates - Automatic Processing so that the system can evaluate the default values.

When creating a case, the system evaluates the data for the movement once the Case Type, Movement Category, Treatment OU, and Departmental OU fields contain entries.

When you process the certificate created automatically, the system does not make any further adjustments to the Certificate Type/Category fields, even if you change the movement data subsequently.

The system adjusts the Certificate Type/Category fields during case creation if the entries in these fields change to other valid values according to the movement data, and the certificate has not yet been processed.

The system does not automatically cancel certificates created automatically. Instead, it displays a message.

You can create generic entries in the table. If you leave a field blank, the system automatically enters a '*'.
If you specify a default entry for the Movement Type field, the system assigns the corresponding movement category and enters it in the table. This means an entry (other than '*') in the Movement Category field always results in an entry in the Movement Type field, so that invalid combinations are not possible.
Example: You select 'V' (Transferred) in the movement type. The system enters the movement category 'Discharge'.
It is useful to enter an admission or an outpatient visit for the movement category. The system evaluates these entries and assigns default values during case creation.
The value help also contains the entries Discharge, Transfer, Absence From, and Absence To, but you should not select these entries. If you do, the system will issue an error message.

Inst. Case Ctgry Case Type Mvmt Ctgry Mvmt Type Trtmt OU   Cert. Ctgry Cert. Type Not Rel.

0001 * Out 4 PPA F01A   UE A
0001 * Out * * *   NF N
0001 * Out 4 Private F01A     X

The entry variant in the first row specifies that the system is to automatically create a treatment certificate of category "UE" and type "A" for cases with visit type "PPA" and OU "F01a".

The entry variant in the second row specifies that the system is to create an emergency certificate for all outpatient cases in an institution if a more qualified entry (such as in example 1 and 3) does not exist.

The entry variant in the third row specifies that the system is not to create a treatment certificate in the background for outpatient cases with visit type "Private" on treatment OU "F01A".
